"The Soup Bowl"

As part of our outreach into our Community we came up with the idea of offering a "free" bowl of soup and a bread roll over the lunchtime period; and in the background we thought it would be good to have some Christian music and video clips playing, subtley hoping to plant seeds for the future. We opened our Church hall doors on         and our Mayor kindly offered to open our venture. We have been running now for approxiametly 5 weeks and we've had a regular number of visitors,  around10 in number.

Introduction

The idea behind this blog is to create a kind of running journal about the events and life of our local Parish Church. We have a website... but I thought it would be good to have a historical record of our everyday life, a kind of more indepth record of our Church in its Community. So please feel free to make comments of the items ..especially if you are part of our congregation or regard St. John's as "your Church".
